I realised it's just so easy to lose contact with certain people and be shut out from whatever's happening in their lives when you get too caught up in the demands of your own life e.g. school, work etc. It's like you're so busy just trying to get through whatever you're supposed to do that you hardly have time to stay in contact with friends you haven't met in quite a while. I guess it's always easier to lose yourself in the constant whirlwind of activity surrounding you that at the end of the day, whatever energy you're left with just isn't sufficient for you to mingle. And I sincerely hope I won't become like that - so bogged down by work and what-nots that I don't even have time for my loved ones and myself. ):

Anyways. Celebrated the boyfriend's birthday belatedly on Saturday. The poor boy was having a bad day prior to that but he seemed reasonably cheered by the end of the day. It's not a nice feeling to see him suffering and yet I'm helpless to do anything for him. Hopefully he likes his birthday pressie. (:
