A brand new year, and a brand new start. (=

Simply put, 2008 was a year full of changes.

1. 15 years of formal education came to an end.

Somehow, studying didn't hold as much excitement or fun by the time I entered JC.
I guess I was relieved, and a little lost as I donned that graduation gown.

2. Travelled to Taiwan for my graduation trip.

A whole new experience travelling with a different bunch of friends, and the first time spending time apart in different countries away from the bf.
A refreshing experience before the whole job search melee began.

3. Became Daddy's beloved child.

Life's been good with so many manifested blessings and favour. (:
Got to know more people from church, and dispelled the disinterest I had in the past.

4. Entered formally into the working world.

Had a difficult time adjusting to a total lifestyle change (am still getting used to it), refusing to come to terms with the harsh truth of a permanent transition into a full-time working adult.
Struggled with so many issues, and feeling miserable and depressed.
Came to realise the meaningless direction my life was heading, and what I really want out of this job and everything else.
Gained a lot of new knowledge with regards to banking and interpersonal skills.

5. Rough patches earlier on in the relationship.

Learnt so much from all the tears and issues, and came to accept each other's idiosyncracies and character, and to compromise and love each other as the unique individuals we are.

6. Took up yoga and japanese lessons, as well as guitar after contemplating for the longest time.

Finally taking time out to cultivate my interests further, and feeling happy about not putting it off any more.
Life's too short to have so many hankerings and not taking actions to ensure that they materialise.

All in all, 2008 had its ups and downs, but it was a rewarding year not only because of the good things that happened, but also the things I've learnt from the various problems and issues I had.

By the time 2009 rolls around, I hope I'm a much wiser person (or will be), and to take on life's challenges more bravely and postively.

New year resolutions?
They're always broken, regardless, but in this brand new year, I wish to

1. Be more proactive in life and work;

2. Discover that buried passion for my job;

3. Have a sunnier and more cheerful disposition.

And with that, may everyone have a great year 2009 ahead bursting with manifested blessings!

For 2009 will be a radzon, dektos and acceptable of Daddy God!
~Amen.
